Having worked briefly with Conor in 2008, we were very keen to continue our partnership with the Manxman in 2009 and are extremely excited that Conor has signed a contract to compete on the team’s range of Kawasaki machinery next season.

At just 22 years of age, the ‘Ramsey Rocket’ is one of the most exciting prospects to emerge in road racing both now and over the past few years. Despite only making his road racing debut in 2006, Conor went on to win the Duke Road Race Rankings championship in 2007, his first complete season on the open roads. He’s had some outstanding results already, including podium finishes at the Ulster GP and we feel more will follow.

Conor’s ability has always been evident to road race fans but perhaps the moment we realized we couldn’t afford to miss this opportunity was the Superstock practice session at the ‘08 Ulster GP. Whilst the other leading riders seemed to race each other throughout the session, Conor set off alone on the McAdoo Kawasaki ZX-10R stocker, a bike which was built just two days previously, and steadily built up confidence, and ultimately, speed on the bike to a point where he smashed the old class lap record at 128.231mph. To reach this level, without a ‘tow’ from any rider, without ‘racing’ anyone and qualify on the front row was a great indication to the team on where Conor could aim for in the future. Unfortunately, the rain meant we’d have to wait to prove this when the meeting was abandoned.

Conor has also proved his ability at BSB level, where the top road racing stars now ply their trade. This ability, coupled with the potential of the Kawasaki machinery is sure to be a potent force in road racing. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R has already proved just what a great bike it is on the roads and the awesome new 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is shaping up to be a real race winner also.

The team will supply Conor with a total of five Kawasaki machines - two Superbikes, two Supersport 600’s and a Superstock 1000cc bike. We will also have spare engines for both Superbikes. Every effort possible will be made to ensure the Kawasakis are extremely competitive in any class. So overall, McAdoo Kawasaki Racing look ahead to the 2009 season with enormous optimism.

Conor has all the tools needed to become one of the truly great road racers and we hope to play a major role in achieving this success
